Xbox Natal Will Forever Change Video Game Interaction

Xbox Natal is transforming the way we are playing video games. The Nintendo Wii came out and impressed everyone with how interactive the games were as it made you physically get up and play the game rather than just sit down and do it all from controllers.

Natal, now called Kinect, takes interactive gaming to the next step and instead of still using the controllers all the game requires is you. For the first time you can control the game just by moving without having to wear any gear of tie any controllers to your hand like the Wii. At the end of this year Natal is expected to wipe Wii off the market and take over as Americas favorite interactive game.

Natal (now known as Kinect) comes with a high definition camera that captures all of your features, as all you have to do is stand still. The Natal is so smart that it can already recognize your gender and most of your features just by scanning your body shape, facial features, and hair type.

The camera doesn’t just scan you, but it can also design objects you own into the game to give the game a more realistic feeling. For example, Tony Hawk games always allow you to design your own skateboard to look like the one you own. Now all you would have to do is hold your skateboard in front of the camera and the game automatically copies the design from the board and replicates it into the game thanks to Xbox Natal.
